Terrific Phone

I love it - and I like the fact that it feels substantial - it won't fly out of my hand too easily. In the few weeks I've had it, I've become hooked on it - don't know how I got along without it. I'm definitely neglecting my laptop since I bought this phone. I really like that I can do almost everything while connected to WiFi so I don't have to pay much for Data - I've been avoiding smart phones because of the cost. Now I couldn't be happier with this phone. It's fast, looks & feels good and does everything.
I never write opinions, but I had to with this phone. It is Awesome! I have had the Droid, Thunderbolt, and all the Motorola Droids and the iPhone. This phone out shines them all. It's easy to use, battery life is great, calls are very clear and the pull out keyboard is great. Get one...you won't be sorry!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Keyboard vs touch screeen

I bought the phone on the recommendation of my salesperson because I told him I was looking for a phone with a keyboard, but after using the phone for a while I find the touch screen keyboard so easy to use that I hardly use the slide out, but it is a nice feature to have. Overall I love the phone, it does everything I need it to do.
Upgraded to this unit from a conventional phone for several functions that I need on a near-instant basis that required either a smartphone, tablet, or laptop. The QWERTY keyboard is, for me, utterly indispensable. The screen is bright enough even in full daylight, has excellent resolution, and is suitably responsive. However, battery life on the standard battery is marginal if you're actually USING the phone. The user-configurable options are sorely limited, which is inexcusable in what is essentially a software-driven computing device.
The greatest disappointment was this phone's susceptibility to damage. On 2 separate occasions, while in my right front pants pocket, the screen fractured and rendered the phone worse than useless. The first instance, I was at work and had clearly damaged the phone by carrying something heavy and bulky, for which I accept responsibility. The second time, however, I was browsing through a major electronics retail store and discovered the crazed glass of the screen when I removed the phone from my pocket prior to getting in my car.
Few things irritate me more than when a device intended for everyday use requires kid glove handling.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: not robust enough, poor battery life
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my first Samsung phone and I'm really happy with it. I get signal inside the machine shop, couldn't with my old phone. It has alot of customizable features and apps. I really like having an actual keyboard.
The one thing I don't like is it takes a while to start up, but maybe all smart phones do.
I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, acual keyboard
Cons: long start up
I would recommend this to a friend!

i just received my new stratosphere in the mail friday afternoon so i've only had it 2 days and am still learning about it. It's my first smartphone and i'll have to say at this point it doesn't disappoint. It's been easy to learn and use, i've already added some apps. i may need to buy the longer life battery, but will wait awhile to decide. So far everything's been great about this phone!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, totally met expectations, easy to use, easy to learn
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great phone. I have had it for 2 months now, and only issue is that 4g needs reset every couple of days. This is more then likely VZW issue in my area as this happens to other people I know.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable
I would recommend this to a friend!

1st Smartphone. Great Choice!

This is my 1st smartphone. I have an iPod so I knew the iPhone wasn't for me. I NEED a real live qwerty keyboard. Guess I"m just one of those people. The 4G LTE is so fast. Luckily for me they have it in my area. The ease of use of the phone has been great. It's taken some getting used to but now that I've got the hang of it it's great. It's bigger than my Rogue was but not by much. Some of the phones I looked at seemed more like a mini-tablet to me. (I didn't want to feel like I'm making calls on an iPad.) The phone itself is sleek and I like the contouring on the back. Helps to hold the phone. The qwerty keyboard is great. I can push all the buttons with my fingertips not my nails. The swipe function for typing on the screen took some getting used to but I have to say it's actually alot of fun. Almost like a game to me. Call me nerdy but I like it. Basically this is just a great phone. Feels like I bought a phone that has been customized to meet all the things that I like and need. I couldn't be happier.
