I am an electrical engineer for a living.
This phone is horrible. First, off you cannot make a call. The microphone on the vast majority of these phones, go back instantly, and makes it impossible to talk to the other person because they won't hear you. Not to mention the phone app seems to be written with the sole purpose of preventing you from doing anything call related. Including freezing and crashing.
You cannot send pictures in text messages since it won't work with WiFi, and barely works on the 3G network.
Speaking of the 3G network, that function locks up all the time.
It is slow, can't handle too much, and performs very average.
I am a big fan of Samsung, and still am, but this knocks them down a few pegs, and should be an embarrassment to there brand.
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE AT ALL COSTS. If they gave me $50 to take the phone, I would still not take it. Not worth it. I would be better off with a note pad, and smoke signals.
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, cannot make a phone call, cannot send picture messages, 3g locks up all the time
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love my phone, it always gets service has survived being dropped countless times with little damage to show for it. The camera is amazing and takes great pictures even panoramic ones.
The only thing I don't like is that it won't send/receive pictures through text.

This phone makes my communication with others easier and able to go on line when ever i have a question.

FF1 update has broken this phone

Up until the FF1 update, I loved my Stratosphere. However since the update, WiFi is useless, text messages don't always go through, and battery is draining at an incredible rate. Until this update is rolled back, or corrected, the Smart is no longer in the Smarphone here.
Cons: ff1 update has broken the phone
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this looks like another win for Samsung! The great Android OS, decent design, and incredible screen all go together to become an extraordinary piece of cellular technology.
