the phone turns on by itself alot. It will be sitting on table and all of a sudden the screen comes on, kinda freaky. Also phone says I need to charge, then it says fully charged, I unplug it then it says to plug it in! The connection is good shows it charging, all night, then says fully charged, unplug it then it wants to be charged while showing a full battery. I have taken battery out, restarted, everything but it is possessed.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
Cons: not enough support

The emails I receive on my phone are duplicates of those on my computer. There is no setting to delete "all" email messages. I have to check each message in order to delete them. This is very time consuming.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: not great for email

I have only had this phone since August of 2012 and I am on my 2nd one of these phones. The first one was dropping connection to calls, closing apps in the middle of being used, and had a horrible crackling screech when dialing out. I received a warranty replacement phone around 3 months ago and this one is having the same issues. It freezes up and doesn't load all information. It is really slow loading information and will not load some apps at all. I am very dissapointed in this phone. I used to have the Samsung Delve had zero issues with it and loved that phone, which is why I went with Samsung again. I have sinced changed my mind and will be finding a new phone.
Cons: Poor quality

Worst Product I have ever Owned

I have had this phone for a little over a year and already I am looking to buy a new one. It is one of the worst products I have ever owned. It constantly overheats and shuts itself off, it doesn't charge. It even shuts down when I'm using it on the charger! I replaced the battery, and cleaned all the pictures and data from it. Nothing has worked. I have yet to try a restore factory settings, but that is my final option. I honestly would never buy this phone again or recommend it to anyone, and I would strongly reconsider buying another Samsung phone based on the performance of this phone.

Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, constantly freezes, doesn't charge correctly

Nicely balanced design and performance

I purchased the STRATOSPHERE model "SCH-I405" back at the end of December. On the overall I rate this phone a solid 5 star. I like the size of the phone: Not too big too carry, yet big enough to handle in my "sausage" fingers. I like the size and resolution of the screen: Great looking, yet not killing the battery and resources. I like the slider keyboard: It extends the size of the phone when handling and makes it possible for me to type the right characters. The processing horsepower is nicely balanced to be plenty for my applications yet not taxing on the battery. The battery size and life is one of the largest on any available on any phone, with the added option of purchasing a double size battery (plus extended rear cover). The icing on this "cake" of a phone is the cost. It is very, very competitively priced.
This phone has the "Goldilocks" charisma, all features are greatly balanced for my needs.

GREAT Mid-Range Smartphone

This is my first smartphone and I must say that I am extremely impressed! I've seen some reviews stating that the responsiveness of the phone is sub-par, but I have seen nothing of the like. The battery life is okay, excellent if you upgrade to the extended battery! I would like to have a notification light somewhere...as would so many others, but all in all, I really like the phone. The keyboard slider mechanism seems to be a bit flimsy, but not too bad...it should hold up for the life of the phone with a slight amount of care.

While I love this phone for the most part, the speakers or volume control really can become irksome. Forget using the speakerphone in the car.

Great phone for the price

I upgraded from a Blackberry Tour so I am used to the physical keyboard. This keyboard is very nice with large keys and a good touch. The phone has some nice pre-loaded apps. I was concerned about the single core processor, but it handles videos and my applications very well.
I get a lot of compliments on the brightness and clarity of the screen. The 4G speed makes email and downloads a breeze.
Definitely recommend this phone!
