Good for the money but hard to clean

I've had my air purifier for over 3 years and it has worked great. I use the multi-purpose filters to eliminate the fine dust and cigarette smoke in my unit. The only draw back with this unit is it's hard to clean. On one side you can remove the grate which makes that side easy, but on the other side the grate is fixed. This requires me to use q-tips and other long instruments to get to the build up of shmootz on the fan.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchased this unit and two smaller towers after having flooring replaced in my newly purchased older home. The dust was awful. Set the three units up and left running. Amazing how well they cleaned the air!

Blower makes a whining noise

Even on the lowest speed setting I can hear the whine of the blower through my over-the-ear headphones which were advertised as noise reducing. (Insulated, not active noise cancelling.)
While I'm sure it will clean the air, I need to be able to concentrate in my home office.
