I have a cat and the dander and fur was overwhelming. I purchased 2 of these for my house and it helped soo much - won't ever be totally gone - I won't give up my cat!! Haha

I bought it about a month ago and the only problem I have is that the fan makes a WA WA WA sound and at night it is a problem.

I have been buying the same model for tests. I absolutely love it. Tall and slender. It works perfectly and last years. I also buy it for gifts. My family loves it. Can't live without it. I actually take it with me if I sleep over someone's house. Can't sleep without it. Been using this product over 10 years now. Holmes products are the best

I originally bought 2 of these about 10 years ago.
6 years ago, 1 of them went out so we bought a new version of it. it went out 2 years ago.
in the mean time, we still have 1 of the original ones left. it just went out and we need to get another one.
we will probably buy the exact same one, as it has lasted many years and we have gotten our money's worth out of it.
it works great, no complaints at all about it.
when we bought the house we are in now, the previous owner smoked like a chimney, and everything smelled horrible. we put this into the center of the room, came back a week later, the house no longer smelled of smoke. we threw out the filters right away and got new ones.
neither my husband or I have had colds, flues or anything- until recently. my husband caught a cold and that is how we come to realize the unit has gone out. it was silent when we 1st got them and it is noisier now.
so, time to replace it.
