I own three of the Heavy Duty Fans. I have one on my front porch, one on my screened in Patio and one for my outside lower Patio with the Smoker and table and chairs. Everyone loves these Fans. They give just the right amount of air movement to cool things down, without being too large and loud. I will be getting one for the Garage and one for the Shop.

Two 293, one 733

733 purchased 2003 for bedroom use, doing well. 293 purchased 2004 for barn use to keep bugs off horse, continuous use from May or June to September or October every year. Front bearing started making noise in 2010 so I lubed it even though Vornado says it does not need it, and runs fine now. Maybe the model that year did not have bearings, or the wear is an anomoly? A second 293 just purchased July 2011 for our second horse and it does seem to have much more power. I got tired of fooling around with cheap fans so that why I get Vornados.

I actually like the yellow case of this fan(some reviews do not). I love the design, the well built solid case. The powerful motor makes this Vornado push a lot of air. I use it in my kitchen at home. Great product which I highly recommend!

Moves large quantities of air. We use it to move cool air from our basement to our first floor -- moves air up 13 steps effortlessly -- not the most quiet fan on high but the strongest we have owned for this job

I use this in my bedroom to combat the heat the Arizona sun produces in my room along with another Vornado fan. I gave it three bars for quiet operation as not everyone would use a fan like this to go to sleep. I use the reasonable sound it produces at high speed as white noise to help me sleep better.

I'm retired and a DIY so I spend a lot of time in the garage,,,in Florida...in the heat!! I've tried other fans, some with blades 3 times the diameter of this fan. But the Vornado is much more efficient at moving air. Remarkable technology.
Pros: Circulates Air Well, Easy to install, Quiet

We have 4 Vornado products and they all work great! We have 2 commercial fans that we use to move the warm air in our movie theatre. They work wonders. The heating vents are on the ceiling and two fans on medium setting on the floor in the front of the auditorium bring the warm air down and circulates it to warm our customers.

We now own 5, having bought them over the past 7 years. We first got 2 for a large loft apartment, and gradually added more, and bought additional ones for our studios. Some of them have been running continuously for years. I can't imagine living without them! The yellow color is fine, but I'd be into an all black model, too.
