It's been a decent laptop, looks good, but... Screen is too low-res, flip down doors for USB, etc. are too small to actually plug in the cables. AC adaptor is very flimsy and needs to be replaced due to frayed cables.
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Almost everything is great about this laptop, except for WiFi. As mentioned in other reviews, tends to lose wireless connectivity frequently. It seems that updates has helped some of the issues, but it's still not totally resolved.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: wifi connectivity not reliable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Too many problems!!

When I first bought this piece, I rarely use it,. But let me tell you....its so troublesome. The problems I mention applies to TWO of my series 9 laptops.
Problems. 1. Screen is VERY vulnerable to cracks. (I have two of these laptops and I've had to replace the screen on one of them and the one Im currently using has three cracks. Trust me these laptops have a case and travel bag.)
2. Keyboard backlit stopped working on both laptops. I have a feeling that its a technical bug. It would be on randomly and off randomly, you can never adjust the brightness. Problem occurs in both laptops.
3. Laptop screen brightness cannot be control with Fn button. You can only adjust screen brightness on the computer instead of using the Fn and keyboard settings. Same problem with the other laptop.
4. Only have 2 USB hubs. This becomes a serious issue once you use one hub for your mouse....then you only have one left to do whatever that you can with it.
5. This thing had an update that crashed the laptop. I would have to reboot everything. Technically its really annoying and shouldn't happen.
6. The mouse pad malfunction randomly. Sometimes when you want to click and drag its stuck at that and you cant really drag. You end up highlighting everything. Basically glitch keyboard.
7. When you close your laptop and open it, it can be a challenge to start it up again. It randomly does it automatically, other times you would have to manually press the power buttons.
8. The design is sleek, except flawed. the hinges that keeps the laptop screen connected to the keyboard become loose VERY EASILY. The silver power button will slowly fade into black as the silver chips off.
All in all, please don't buy this laptop. Do not be fooled by its beauty and weight. There are many laptops out there that are so much more reasonably tagged
