I purchased this hood vent because it was the perfect size to fit under the cabinets in the older home we just purchased. I like the light it puts out and the fan works great. I am disappointed because I immediately started seeing rust appear. I looked at a few reviews after I noticed this and see that several people have the same issue with this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This hood came installed along with the stovetop on the new house, both from Whirlpool. Both were low quality and should we had known we would have invested in something better. The burner flames on the stovetop are always uneven for as much as we adjust the removable burners. Bad design. The hood is another story of bad design. EXTREMELY NOISY. Adjusting the speed rheostat to a certain position will only last a couple of minutes and then it picks up again amd you have to re-adjust it again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This was installed when we built our new home. It performs the job but would look better if the underside was enclosed.

Easy to use

This hood was installed by the builder and suites the kitchen nicely with a slim design. It is not overpowering the kitchen design. Easy to use the two knobs. Make sure to get a dim able light to use the low and high settings, my builder forgot that part.
I would recommend this to a friend!
