What is all that banging?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yesterday was the first day using this new oven for several hours. We were baking for several hours and noticed a strange banging sound. Looked at the owners manual to find out the noises are normal operating noises for the oven. Very upset by this. Have used gas ranges for most of my life and have never heard these kinds of noises. Sounds like someone is hitting a cabinet. happens about once every 1-2 minutes. I just called appliance store...I'm not happy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 6 months ago. I thik the grilles are too high that the pot sits too far from the flame. Also, the grilles don't hold small pots very well, they kind of loose balance. The oven works great, I have used the convection oven and the conventional one. I haven't use the self-cleaning option, I can't review that feature.

Disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this stove a couple months ago. It looks nice, but the main problem is how far the grates are from the burners. It takes a long time to heat the food. Although the large burner is rated 4000 BTU higher than my old stove, it takes the same amount of time to boil water in the kettle. The second biggest burner takes a very long time to boil a pot of water, which makes it difficult to cook several large pots at the same time, even though the cook surface is very large.
The oven seems to work well and the convection converter is a nice feature.
The grate is split into only 2 pieces, which are heavy. My wife struggles to lift them off the stove to clean, and they don't fit flat in my sink.
Overall, I'm not real pleased with the stove, and am even thinking of replacing it already.

oven much takes longer to heat than the older kitchaid model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a kitchen aid slide in range 13 years and the circuit board was defective,I replaced it with this model and instead of heating something at 400 degrees for 12 to 15 min,it takes 25 to 30min . it takes so much longer to heat, My wife is talking about getting rid of this new range because she is afraid its going to ruin the thanksgiving dinner when the time comes. I feel so bad that I choose this .
