[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We opted for this slide in range to replace a 13 year old different manufacturer model that began to leak gas from everywhere. My wife did research and found this KitchenAid to be what she wanted. It is a nice unit, however for myself I have found the touch controls to be too sensitive due to their location in the front rather than on top. Controls on the panel can be accidentally turned on or off by simply "brushing" into them - such as when reaching for something on a back burner and leaning into the front panel just a bit. It also makes a bit more noise than our older range, nothing horrible, but you can hear the oven burners igniting and heat expansion noises from even a good distance away. Not a big deal but something you have to get used to. (They even discuss noises in the owner's manual) I have also read reviews were the control panel burns out during a self cleaning cycle, haven't experienced this yet and hope that issue was addressed by KitchenAid. I do like the large grates, turbo burner, and its overall performance. The control touch panel is nice, easy to read, but again for my preferences I would have like it mounted more to the top rather than the front.

Loved my old kitchenaid range, new one not so much

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had my last kitchenaid SS slide in range for 16 years. I absolutely loved it. The new one, not so much. The knobs are on the front, I hit them all the time. I can't lean up to get something out of my microwave above the range without hitting the keypad everytime. The gas burners click non-stop and liting the burners is hit or miss. The oven cycles on and off while the food is cooking. There is always a strange odor coming from the oven when I cook. The range and keypads on my original kitchenaid were on the top. Never had the issues I have with this one. My home warranty company replaced it because they couldn't fix the digital keypad, parts were no longer available. I'm making the new one work because I don't have a choice. But if I could I would like to get into my time machine, go back to 1998 and buy my original kitchenaid slide-in range all over again to use today and into the future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to use all of the features with the holiday cooking. I love the warming drawer. However, a few items that I noticed that are a bit bothersome is that everytime, we lean against the front panel of the stove, it sets off one of the buttons. The other thing I noticed is that it takes quite a while to pre-heat. However, I love the even cooking and the Convection part of the oven when I'm baking cookings. It is a great investment and I'm glad that we went with this model. I also love the look of it in my new kitchen. Love the gas versus electric also. Thanks for a great product.

Strange noises
