Great printer for the price

I got this to eliminate the need to go to a copy shop every time I wanted to print a draft or mock-up. First thing you will realize is how expensive the ink is to replace. After using for a year I think in actuality it is fairly inexpensive to replace the ink mostly because only certain cartridges (cmyk) are heavily used. This allows you only to replace one cartridge at a time and waste less ink overall.
The last point I want to talk about is the printing quality of course. This is a touchy subject because on one hand you can produce some of the best looking prints ever, but on the other hand if you don't use exactly the right paper and settings, you will get mediocre to low quality prints. I have tried lots of different paper and I only use epson paper or projet from adorama because both papers are meant for inkjet printers. Anything else has been dissapointing.
In conclusion, great printer for the small time designer or photographer but just be careful what paper you use with it.

It's the best printer I have ever owned. However, don't even try to change the default settings. It will waste your inks and papers. ONLY THE DEFAULT SETTING WORKS.

This is my first printer capable of using roll paper and I love it. I opened the box, unwrapped the printer, glanced over the "Quick Setup Guide", put in the ink, and then ran the install CD. I then selected a photo of my wife standing in the garden, went to "print", selected the media type and paper source, and wow, a 13" X 30" stunning picture of my wife. The colors and print quality are the best of any printer I have ever owned. For the price this is an incredible purchase, commercial features on a home desk top printer. Thank You Epson.

Learning the Epson 2000 is straight forward beause it is so similar my other two Epson printers. Went straight to work wired to the computer but having a devil of a time figuring out the WI FI. First entry required is a PIN and I have no idea where to look other that the sticker on the printer's back and there are three number series. Are any of the a PIN? If I can get connected then I can perform the magic of wireless printing. But until then..........

Hi for more than 30 years we've using Epson printers like the c82, c84, 1440, 1800, 1280.... This is the best printer I have bought. All the options the technology put in this printer is amazing. The pigment printing I can do in this printer totally beats the older printers.

Epson Stylus Photo R2000

I like how crisp and clear all my pictures have been. My other printer made them look clear but there was always a foggy look to them. The only thought I have is how expensive the cartridges are and how often I will have to replace them. I am still using the cartridges that came with the printer. I ordered new ones and have them ready to install when needed. I know some of you are probably answering "well, it all depends how many pictures you print". This is true, I print a lot of pictures and of course, the thought enters my mind, I wonder how expensive it will be to use my new printer in light of how often I print a new bird or butterfly picture. So far, I love it!

I have used this printer for several months now and I feel it does a superior job printing a variety of different size photos. The photo print quality is excellent, it is easy to use, and the speed of printing is quite good. Overall, I am very pleased with this product.

So far this printer has performed perfectly. The printouts are beautiful, the Wi-Fi easily set up and in general, the R2000 works as advertised. So far I'm very pleased.
I went from a 4900 to this printer because of horrible head clogging on the 4900 (which is now junked since it's unusable—it would cost me more to have it repaired than to buy a new one). I live in two different places for six months at a time and as a result, the 4900 was not used for extended periods of time. Early on I used an R1900 and despite my 6 month/6 month arrangements, it never had the clogging problem of the 4900...and that is the reason I'm trying the R2000. I will update this review after I go through one or two of the 6/6 cycles.
