Epson Stylus Photo R2000

I have only had this printer up and running a few hours but so far I am impressed. It had a tough act to follow as it replaced my Epson Stylus 3000 Pro which I really loved. This R2000 has printed 2 lovely photos for me and a shipping label and some orders quite nicely. It does not have the large 17" width (it is only 13") that the other one had but the price for what I got was quite good. The ink cartridges are bigger than most printers but are quite small compared to the 100ml ones that the other printer used. Then again this R2000 was also a much less expensive printer. A great value for the money so far, providing the ink costs are not too bad.

A Wonderful Printer with only one complaint

I received my Epson SP R2000 and I am so excited after printing several 4x6 prints. The colors were simply beautiful and looked very professional. This is my 5th Epson Printer upgrade and by far the best investment. I havent had the time to print larger prints yet so I will be doing an update later. I read lots of reveiws and this printer is definitely not over rated. The only complaint I have is this printer doesnt have a slot to print directly from the memory card and I will really miss that...but will still rate the printer 5 star...

Epson R2000 Inkjet Printer

I've previously owned two other Epson printers, the last being the R1800. This is hands down the best one yet. I've had the opportunity to run over 150 prints on Glossy, Satin, and Luster stock. Unbelievable quality, super detail and sharpness with rich color quality. So far ink useage has been much better than my old R1800. In my opinion this has got to be the best large format photo quality printer for the money on the market. I've not yet tried black and whites yet, but if you print on luster stock or glossy, semi-glossy this is hands down a great printer.

If your shooting skills are top notch, this printer can keep up with you...its fairly fast, doesn't mis-feed and waste paper much, and most importantly, the images look gorgeous (tones, resolution, colors). Im using a variety of papers both matte and gloss from Epson (too pricey in Canada) but mostly Moab and some Hanemuhle. Sometimes it takes several minutes to warm up and draw in the first sheet, and the print head is rubbing on Hanemuhle 13" wide paper for some reason, but Im sure I could sort it out with some more testing. Overall, I'm thrilled with the quality. If you buy and study a book on Printing, then you'll have your own museum-quality lab right in your home. Could hardly be happier with this printer! (using Lightroom 3, Photoshop CS4, Nikon D3)

I have retired from owning a travel company and wanted a printer that would print large (12x12) pages for scrapbooking 25 years of travel and a lifetime of family memories. After much research, this was the printer I chose. The first one Epson sent had a major problem, and they replaced it with no hassle. Wireless set-up was easy, and although I haven't used it very much yet, I have printed some beautiful 11x14 and other size photographs of my family. Five stars is because of the Customer Service I received , and how pleased I have been so far.

its prints great and has good color blends only problem is the ink is $$$$ 35% more then the R1800 i replaced . Epson needs to get this under control. or people are going to go away from them.
Buyer beware

Epson R2000

I had an Epson R1900 for four years which I loved. Parts inside the printer were at the end of their service life and it would not work anymore. Since the R1900 was discontinued I replaced it with the R2000 as it was the comparable replacement model. I thought I would be getting the same quality, but the print quality is not nearly as good as the R1900. I'm not sure if it is this model or the printer itself but I am so disappointed in my choice to choose this printer. After hooking it up I had to do an auto nozzle check and cleaning, head cleaning, print alignment and ink density optimization just to get it to print half way decent. I have tried everything in the print selections to enhance the printing but nothing is working. When I hold prints from the R1900 next to the R2000 prints there is a definite difference in crispness, color and clearness.

Great printer except for the annoying gloss cartridge.
you need to make sure it is unchecked each time you print a document that will not need this feature. They need to come up with a way to disable this feature other than in the print set up.
That is the only reason I rate this Good rather than excellent.
