I bought this for my daughter to use for school (teacher recommended). It set up very easily. We did the test prints, on photo and regular inkjet papers. They were both outstanding quality images, of photos, digital art and typography examples. We did turn off the glossy setting, since the photo paper didn't need any extra shine.
I ran the same images on my color laser printer on equivalent papers, and the improved image quality of the inkjet printer was obvious. It does run much slower, but we knew it would, so that wasn't a concern.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is, we haven't had a chance to see how soon the ink cartridges run out. They do seem a bit small; of course, I'm comparing them to the cartridges for my color laser printer.
Also, it has yet to jam, which I understand was a sometimes problem with earlier Epson models.
I would recommend this to a friend!

useless wireless printing

Printing off the wireless network was fine on small jobs until I tried to print something bigger on better paper. It only printed half way then spit out the paper and said "Unable to send trailing nul to printer: Broken pipe". I will never try to print anything important again without using a cable.
Thanks for the false hope of wireless printing epson.

Great Printer

The printer produces exceptional photos. It is fairly fast for an inkjet printer. Setup was not bad, although it didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped, but nothing seems to work smoothly for me as far as software setup. It is large, but what can one expect from a wide format printer. I like the wireless aspect because I can place it wherever I want without running wires. It produces great photos even on plain paper. On photo paper they're as good as the old film cameras professionally developed. It would be nice if it would print double sided without manually turning the paper, but I can live with that. The ink is expensive, but isn't it all. With 8 separate cartridges it should last a while.

I owned an Epson R1900 Inkjet printer for several years and was pleased with it. When it came time to replace the printer I replaced it with the R2000. I am very satisfied with the printer. I do a lot of color printer on photo paper and am pleased with the sharpness and color tones produced.

R2000 Review from an Illustrator's Perspective.

I was looking for a printer with archival inks that could also print on several art papers and in larger sizes. I read several reviews and talked to several others who have purchased this printer, even in the older models.
The notecards and Illustrations that I print are excellent quality and the colors are brilliant!
Epson makes a solid and reliable product that delivers time and time again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson Photo Stylus R2000 Printer Works for Me

I have used Epson wide carriage printers for a number of years. Each time I purchase the next model, I am always pleased with the improvements that are made. The Epson Photo Stylus R2000 is no exception. I use the printer for printing photographs, as well as, everyday paper printing projects. The results are always great. I have printed tickets, user's guides and brochures for a museum in the area. The owner's thought I had sent them out to a printer!!! With this great quality, I could save them money by only printing a small quantity and making changes with each new printing. Bottom line....I could choose other printer manufacturers, but for my money I will continue to stick with Epson. The few times that I have had warranty issues, they have always been very helpful in getting me a replacement printer in a few days. Yes, I am a very satisfied Epson printer customer and recommend Epson printers to my friends.

An amazing photo printer

I have had this printer about here months. Photo prints of all sizes are beautiful. I am not a tech genius. Setup was concise and easy. I was surprised that it worked first time. I received the $100 refund promptly. This is a marvelous printer. JDK

The Epson Stylus Photo R2000 gives the finest quality print color that I have seen for an at home printer. The saturation of color is accurate and vibrant. The two black colors (matte and photo) are a great option and there IS a visible difference. Glad I made the purchase, my only compliant is that the printer goes through ink way too quickly. Now if only Epson would make a white ink printer version that would be Amazing!!!
