New Kid on the Block

I've found the printer to be as good as, and better than, the other Epson printers I've owned in the past. The colr reproduction is very good. The CO/DVD printing feature is a valuable asset for me. Ink consumption is low, compared to other inkjet printers I've owned. Over all, I'd give the R200 an A.

Great for all full color prints

I use this printer as a graphic designer, mostly to print full color illustrations and presentation boards. Of several photo printers, this has been the easiest to use, the most versatile in regards to media, and produces great prints. Learn to manipulate the settings in order to achieve the desired quality and color. If your settings are correct according to desired output, prints can be almost exactly true to on-screen color.

For years I used the Epson R-800 and finally decided it was time to upgrade. For anyone considering a high quality inkjet this just maybe it. I found the setup straightforward and immediately produced excellent high quality prints that exceeded my expectations.

The best

I have been using Epson Photo Stylus models for 10 years and this is my latest upgrade. The colors are beautiful and make my pressed flower pictures look real to the point that people touch the card to see how I got the flowers into the paper! My only issue is that I am constantly trying to tone down the green on this printer. Compared to the 1900, the green is too bright and I haven't figured out yet how to balance it. Otherwise, I am convinced Epson puts out the best color printer on the planet.

Awesome Printer

Just completed my first 12x12 album with my new R2000 ... the quality of the prints is impressive. The only drawbacks were the speed with which the toner levels fell as I printed my 30 page album, and the fact that I cannot find any 12x12 paper, so I had to cut down 13x19 paper.

Easy setup, but...

I have only had this printer for one day. It replaces an Epson R800 that was no longer compatible with my updated Mac system. It was pretty easy to set up on my wi-fi network (aside from the instructions failing to mention that the cartridge button has to be pushed to initiate the charging process), and it seems to print really fine 8x10 photos (I haven't yet tried 11x14 or 4x6). This is my third Epson printer; I have been increasingly happy with the photo print quality of each.

setting up a new printer

I have owned several Epson printers going back many years, but this is the first time I am stymied by the lack of information supplied for set up. The "Start here" sheet gives instructions which, when followed precisely, result in no action. I installed the CD in hopes that a simple set of directions might be found in an operating manual. Again zilch! I will struggle along for a few days, and then return the instrument if I cannot make it work according to specifications.
