Epson R2000 Experience

Thus far I find this to be a good quality Inkjet printer. Both the output quality and speed are very acceptable. I would like to see expanded interface that actually shows all the available papers instead of a substitution list and a much lost cost for ink.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm an photographer by hobby....I use my photos to decorate my home....I love the quality...my photo looked just exactly like the preview. I put 4 stars because I just started using it and printed only 2 images.....I haven't done enough to have a problem. I will say that is was easy to figure out and the instructions were too simple. I like that it's not complicated and too many pieces. Thank you Epson.

it took 3 -R2000 before one that worked, however Epson may not at fault but the way the shipper handled the box.
Good gosh, I just got the printer and had to order ink already and twice the price of the 2000 stylus. look like this ink is way short and way too high. very dissapointed in this R2000 product. call me I'll give you an ear full. please have someone who cares or don't bother.

This printer is overrated

I've had this printer for two weeks and I have had nothing but trouble. The first printer had wheel marks on all of my photos. Epson sent me a second printer. While there are no wheel marks, every 13x19" photo I've tried to print has a vertical rub mark--ruining the print. I do not recommend this printer. It is overrated.

SPR2000 - Good value, easy setup

Epson has taken a great deal of care in producing this printer. Small details, like folding over the ends of the many pieces of tape that keep the printer stable during shipping, make it easy to install. The software installation goes smoothly and shortly after bringing the printer home, I was generating very nice prints. I am concerned that there is a relatively small number of ink colors, considering there is a total of 8 but one is a gloss optimizer, and two are black. Only five left for actual colors. And of those, three are the standard CMY. So, only blue and orange are added to the basic set. However, the price can't be beat, taking into account the fact that the printer has WiFi and can print on disks. Based on past experience with inkjets, I would highly recommend that users of this printer make sure they print something at least once a week, to keep the nozzles in good shape. Even just a nozzle check, which doesn't use much ink.

I am a hobbiest, not a professional. This is my first high quality photo printer. I found the set up easy and the print quality is very nice. I have owned it for about a month and have printed many photos but I'm still on the ink cartridges that came with the printer, so no complaints about usage of ink. And, the paper feed has been so much better than the previous printers I had been using from big box stores.

I bought the R2000 after my old R1800 ended it's usefulness. I didn't know about the pre-programed life.
I love Epson printers, this is the third one in a row. The only reason I changed from the first one was to be able to print 13"x19".
Very good printer! I am an amateur that likes good pictures.
