This is my 2nd r2000, the 1st having a mechanical noise during the print process, and defaults to get it to print. My 2nd printer does not have the noise, but the defaults to get it to print are still there. I hope someone from Epson will call me to get this problem resolved. I am happy with the printing, once I finally get thru the defaults.

This thing is awesome! I do a lot of landscape and wildlife photography using a DSLR (sony A77) and the pictures I print are unbelievable clarity and color...wouldn't trade for all the tea in China! It's an excellent product.

Compared to my other printers the R2000 seems to use excessive amounts of the Gloss Optimizer and Cyan inks.
Prints look under exposed.

Epson R2000 Printer

I used to be a graphics designer and print images from Photoshop. This printer was recommended to me by a digital photography instructor, my digital imaging mentor. He owns a larger model Epson and his prints are indistinguishable from professional grade darkroom prints. Maximizing the performance of an R2000 will require learning the technical aspects of digital imaging and image manipulation, but the resulting images will make the effort worthwhile.

Stylus Photo R2000

Incredible. We have been in photography for a number of years, initially as amateurs, then professionally for about 15 years; we have owned and still own a range of color printers from consumer to professional, and this Stylus Photo R2000 really stands out in quality and performance. Print quality is outstanding, but acquisition and operation costs are easily within reach of many consumers. This is definitely a "prosumer" product with quality at the pro level and cost at consumer. Highly recommended if you are looking for professional products at reasonable prices.

Workhorse

I have been using my R2000 for a year. I have printed over 500 photographs from 4" x 6" to 13" by 19". The quality at all levels printed has been excellent. When matched with the proper ICC profile for the paper being used, the quality is undistinguishable from lab quality. I also use my R1900 for on-location printing and it prints great photos. The only con is that the R2000 is a ink-hog and uses up ink cartridges. I wish Epson sanctioned a larger cartridge for the printer. Overall, I give the printer an excellent rating and is a strong workhorse.
