Great printer for photography

This printer meets my needs for prints and photography competitions. I like the paper choices. I did my research and if you use the correct paper you won't be disappointed.

This is a great printer for the money Ink replacement are on the low cost side. prints vivid colors. As a photographer I would plan to own one.

Best consumer/professional desktop on the market

I've always had great success with the four different Epson printers I have owned. I bought this R2000 because of the advanced features and the improved ink. The quality and clarity of the pictures is as good as observing the scene in real life. Quick, easy to use and user friendly.

Excellence Performance

I am very impressed with the r2000. The ease of setup - both on my iMac and PC is outstanding. The quality of glossy prints easily exceeds what neighborhood and big box stores can offer. Professional printing is not superior to the r2000.
I use the r2000 for glossy color prints - 4x6 to 13x19. My clients are very pleased. I can not comment on B&W prints as I use my r2880 for B&W.
Overall, I am very pleased and recommend this printer highly.
Ink consumption, so far, appears to be well controlled. Actually, ink consumption appears to be better than my r2880, which I used for color prints prior to purchasing the r2000.
I have printed several dozen prints to date.
The printing speed on quality setting seems just a little slow, but not a deal breaker by any means.
With the $250.00 rebate, I consider the r2000 an outstanding purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just got it yesterday

I just got the printer yesterday, so my review will be limited which is why it is a 4 star (a suggestion would be to get a request to update our reviews 6 months after purchase).
Installation was fairly simple except for one step. After you install the ink cartridges Step 6 tells you to close the cover, and Step 7 states the printer begins priming. It does not tell you to push the button. After I noticed it wasn't priming I lifted the lid to see the instructions on the machine, they are correct. A simple step, but an error in the instructions.
So far everything I have printed is just as I expected. I have owned Epson printers for many years and will stick with them as long as they continue to produce such good products.

R2000 issues

Our printer is about a year old. Probably printed about 40 pictures and it quit working. When you try to print two of the lights flash and it does nothing. I contacted customer support and was told to ship it to a service center.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Decision

I've been using the R2000 Inkjet printer for about a month now. Set up went very well. After calibrating my display and setting up the printer to let let my applications control color, I get the exact image print displayed on my monitor.
I also purchased Epson fine art paper samples and loaded the paper profiles in my applications to test paper options. I am printing fine art reproductions and photography for sale. The images look great!
