R2000

The R2000 replaced my R1900. The 2000 is very similar to the 1900, and works just great for this amateur photographer. Colors are great, and true to my monitor colors. The larger size ink cartridges are a great improvement.

we often use patterned paper for paper craft projects.....with our new R2000, we've expanded tenfold, the available materials for our crafts....no more trips to the craft store only to settle for a pattern that isn't quite what we had in mind.....with our new printer the patterns, and our ability, is with out bounds....

Epson r2000

Had a Epson960 for years, and when it quit after years of great service I knew I wanted another Epson. After searching I found the r2000 at a great price, and decided to purchase it. I received it, and set it up, and the first print off was BEAUTIFUL !! But if you have a iMAC with OS X Lion, you will not have a disk to do the installation. You will have to go to the Epson Support Site, and follow the instructions. Also if you want to use the WI-FI, you will need your routers SECURITY KEY. If its like mine it will have approx. 64 characters that are case sensitive. Without that KEY you will not be able to use the WI-FI function. I am using a Apple Time Capsule as my router, and back-up. With the Mac the KEY can be found in the "AIRPORT UTILITY" It will be just below your NetWork Name. Also make sure that you have installed the "8.60 Driver. Without the 8.60 Driver you will not have all the functions of the printer. I have had other Epson printers, and scanners, and have never had a problem. Also the support is always the best !! I highly recommend this printer, and you should consider Epson when replacing any of your other devices.

Smooth Transition

My R1900, which I bought after my 1800 gave out, recently went belly up after 4 yrs. of continuous printing. I work street fairs and art venues to sell my work so I needed to replace asap. The R2000 was delivered in a week and work flawlessly out of the box. Set up was fast and first print was right on the money. Cant go wrong if you need archival printing and beautiful color.

Make it easier to turn off GO
on July 25, 2012

Over all, I really like this printer. I upgraded from a R2400, that printed 1000's of prints. I finally just wore the poor thing out.
I was disappointed at first. The gloss optimizer didn't even last through 6-8x10 and about 12-11x14. I had to buy this printer in an emergency, because I was just getting ready to print some images for my rep to take with her to NY, when the 2400 puked. I did get everything printed, and it looked great, but since I didn't really have (take) the time to read the instructions first, I thought the GO ink use was outrageous.
Once I figured out how to turn it off, I was very pleased. Epson, if you want to make the ability to turn off the GO much easier to find, this would be even a better printer.
As an Epson printer, I fully expect years of use, and 1000's of prints to go through this thing before it finally decides I've abused it enough. Ive never been disappointed with an Epson product. I think this is the 4th Epson printer I've owned.

error message

The quality of the printout is excellent. However, at times an error "incorrectly loaded paper" occurs. The paper is rejected, just feeds through printer. I suspect the issue is the paper sensor. Trying to resolve the problem is difficult without a meaningfull error statement!

Great printer. I use it for large photos and it is excellent. I was sent an email with a 10% discount but when I tried to order ink it would not apply the discount.

Epson Stylus Photo R2000 Printer

The R2000 has exceeded my expectations, the colors are great and the ink cartridges are lasting longer. Great value for the investment, and the Epson service backing it up is a good combination. I recommended this printer to any one serious about prints with color accuracy and printer dependability.
