Great quality but sucks ink. When the ink well draws close to empty, the printer won't print. The Gloss Optimizer, which I really don't need, is the main culprit. Had this printer for 4 months and have gone through 3 of those cartridges. Epson should really fix this.

Purchased this printer in July of 2011. I purchased this model primarily for its photo/picture printing ability and I have not been disappointed. I have printed wallet size through 13" X 19". Its letter/document printing has been more than satisfactory. Yes, I would recommend this printer to anyone.

Investing in this printer was the best thing that has happened for my stationery business. I don't have any of the stresses that I had before with my previous printer. I would recommend it to any one!

I have used Epson for 5 years now. I had the 1400,1900 and just got the R2000. Only to find out that you have to hand feed one at a time 11x17 borderless. And then it took me 20 min a picture to get it to work. Not fesable for me. What an inconvience.

Best Printer Yet

I have been using Epson printers for 20 years and this one is the best yet. I chose this model because it allows me to decide if I want to use Gloss Optimizer on glossy images to make them look like high end prints of the film era, (eliminating the metamerization problem) or do without GO on magnificent papers like Epson Exhibition Fiber which doesn't require GO to look PERFECT. My wish would be for a 17" format printer of the 2000. Sometimes bigger IS better, and a large format glossy print from this printer would stop traffic in any art gallery. The 2000 is quiet, very fast, and it is cost effective to run. Plenty of prints before a cartridge replacement is needed and no hassles with making the change. Summing up. I LOVE IT! Thank you Epson, for a wonderful printer. Joe Blackburn

Purposeful Use Printer

I have found this this is an excellent printer, offering photo lab or near photo lab results for both photographs and fine art. Although it can serve as an everyday use printer, the ink cost has been found to be prohibitive. I have found that this printer requires a degree of routine use to prevent the need for the cleaning operation.

Printer is awesome until 6 months or so into it. It slides over the paper and will not feed. The rubber rollers that catch smooth up and they do not catch it well enough to feed so it keeps spinning.
