Poor Design and Awful Product

This was a gift for my son and daughter-in-law. Nothing but problems in the 3 years of use. Poor design on water drainage. Have had to service the washer 4 times because of poor design that does not allow water to drain if there is so much as a spec of fuzz in the drain area. Also, due to the way the door and the tub fit is designed, small pieces of clothing such as t-shirt ends, child pajama pants, bib ends, etc. get caught in the edge between the drum and the door. When this happens, the fabric is twisted and torn. Poor, poor design. Will never buy another Whirlpool product as long as I live. Too bad, a great product years ago has turned into junk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We picked this up about a month ago and it is a great machine. Quiet and efficient. Cleans great- even takes out the various stains from a 4 yr olds clothes. Also a great energy saver and has an Eco boost setting. Very happy we went with this brand and model.

Terrible

We purchased this washer exactly one year ago last month. Small items (baby socks, cloths etc) alsways get stuck in the gap of the liner between the tub and the glass. As a result, when the washer is on spin cycle the liner rubs with the clothing! This has resulted in ruined clothes and now we have to purchase and pay for a new liner as the washer is just over the warranty period. I HATE this washer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife and I LOVE this washer - it's simple to use and almost knows what you want to do before you start. Our FAVORITE feature is the onboard storage of the laundry detergent; not having to add it every time you do wash is great - just fill the reservoir on occasion (when it warns it's getting low) and you're all set.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Clothes are cleaner! Bulky items setting prevents balance problems. Love the "TOUCH UP" feature on dryer.Totally satisfied!

Saves water and energy

I gave this product a good rating because it , mostly, does deliver clean clothes. It is easy to use and is quiet. A key feature change I would like in design would be for the door to fit a little closer to the clothes. Eliminate the gap. Reason is my daughters small socks and underwear occasionally get trapped against the door and remain there still soiled when the load is done.

I love this washer, it makes doing laundry fun. It takes less time to have my laundry washed, dried and put away then before the purchase of the washer and dryer.
