We bought it so we could have amazing smoothies! Hasn’t disappointed yet! Smoothies turn out like juice not chunky. Definitely has a lot of other cool features but for us it was worth it for smoothies alone.

I've had my Vitamix for over a month and have used it almost every day! I bought it because I wanted to start drinking green smoothies. This Vitamix is large enough to make multiple smoothies at once and they are SO Smooth, not gritty at all like other blenders. I would HIGHLY recommend making this investment to anyone wanting to start a healthy habits like green smoothies or to anyone that wants to explore new recipes, make your own sauces, dressings, nut butters, etc. It's a Great Product and I am So Glad I invested in one!

After owning a Vitamix over 20 years, we decided to upgrade to a newer model. The Professional Series 500 is extremely powerful and very easy to use and clean. Nothing beats the quality of a Vitamix. Will never own another brand. Simply the best.

In 2013 when I purchased a Vitamix 5200 I already had a Ninja blender, but since I was accustomed to using the Ninja, I decided to give the Vitamix to my son because it was too much work (no push buttons). Fast forward to 2018 and I am on my third Ninja blender and my sons Vitamix is still going strong. And even though I still have a working Ninja (my last), I decided to get the Vitamix Professional 500. After playing with it nonstop for several days, I'm so glad that I decided to give Vitamix another try.

We have been using our 500 pro for years now almost daily and just love it. The plunger makes making your own nut butters awesome without having to water them down.
We also have the dry grain container and grind our own flowers.(Almond, Brown Rice...)
I'm sure glad I got this model. The smoothie preset is a must :-)
The cost might seem high but its truly worth it.

I’m here to write a review being a long time owner. We bought the Professional Series 500 in 2010. We are a family of seven and use it nearly every day. The Vitamix works just as good today as it did on day 1. It will always be our favorite and most used appliance!
