Makes good coffee, smells of burnt rubber

I’m giving it a 4 star
When I brew, it smells of burning plastic (from the heating element below)
Besides that it brews really good coffee. I expected it to be plastic free, but the hot water goes up and in the plastic knob on top.
Does make quite a bit of noise when brewing but it’s pretty quick and nice and hot!!
Going to exchange for a different one and Hope the new one doesn’t smell of plastic too?
