I loved this fan!
I liked the fact that it was small and easily movable, and that the purring sound of the fan helped put me to sleep. I did have to shut the fan off at times to talk on the telephone,
but for me, it's positives outweighed it's negatives. It was inexpensive, ran constantly and did the job. Only bummer was that it's life span was so very short! Not even two years!

Great Fan

This is a great little fan. I have had it running 24/7 for over a year now and it just keeps going. It puts out a pretty good air flow for it's size. Couldn't happier!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my friends two and a half months ago and I'm very pleased with how they work. Then not only bring and take it out of my home but they pull us down quite effectively. I'd recommend these products to anybody who would listen.

poor design

The electric cord needs to be 2' longer, the oscillating button is not easy to pull up to activate, when lifting the fan by the handle the oscillating button is in the way resulting in activating the oscillation and there is little if any difference between the two high and low settings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It sounds like a motorboat. It is poorly made of plastic parts and too noisy to use. It blows well, but what's the use?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As implied in the inserted review title, I feel not enough use has occurred to give a satisfactorily complete review of this product.
Generally, it does not appear that his unit will last as long or work as effectively as the previous Holmes fan we used. This unit'ts fan cage is so "heavily" built that the airflow is reduced substantially. This design also makes the cage so heavy that the fan has trouble holding it's head up. That is the tightening screw has trouble holding the cage up when we want it to aim high(er). Perhaps, in time, we will be able to determine a tightening method to compensate for this apparent flaw. Only time will tell.
Now, the deign flaw is not totally negative, however. Our old fan was built with very modest construction. This enabled it to generate substantial air movement and work very effectively. That cage was easily broken as a result of its design.
My suggestion would be that future designs include a cage that contains fewer crossbars and somewhat less thickness. You will then have a sturdy cage buty one that allows for substantial airflow generation.
Good luck in building the next space shuttle. :>)
