Favorite Toaster

Purchased over a year ago, this has been my most favorite toaster ever owned. I get great results using. However, after a sleep walking incident in which my son tried to toast his cell phone, the plastic residue fumes are not the most healthy item to consume so I will be replacing mine with another identical B&D toaster! Meanwhile, I will only be able to toast using just one side of the toaster.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not toasting enough

1500 watts for 4 toasts is not enough..
If you use brown bread,you have to put the bread 2 times to have well cook toast

Didn't stand up to normal use

Not a very sturdy toaster. we've been using it for less than a year (on average maybe twice a week) and the push-down buttons have worn out. They wont 'catch' at the bottom and you have to really hammer them down! it takes sometimes 10 or more tried to get it to catch. Its a pain to use now so i guess we will be replacing with another brand.

Brought my toaster less than 12 mos ago, rep I contact helped me get a replacement. Well spoken, friendly and was truly concerned with getting this issue right for me. Job well done by ALL i had to the pleasure to speak to.

I would not recommend this toaster. For the first few uses it was fine. Then for some reason the cord was not connecting to the power source I don't know if this was because ours came with the cord which coiled up inside when not in use. Or some other misfunction. It is a must in my family of five. I am returning it to the store I bought it in. And have since bought another brand.

Poor quality

It doesn't heat both sides of anything evenly, and the automatic pop-up feature never worked on the left side; on the right side, only two or three times. Then the automatic pop up sensor mechanism broke on the right side and never worked again. Toast has to be popped up manually or it will burn.

Cancel buttons don't work.

Nice design if only it worked. The pop-up doesn't work, and the cancel button gets me nothing either. Burns everything I put in it.

Probably the WORST appliance I have EVER purchased. It takes a good 5minutes to toast bread, even with the setting at its highest. The only plus is that it is virtually impossible to burn anything because it takes SOOOOooooooo long to get even a slight brown.
