Confused and disappointed

My sister had one very similar to this model that toasted evenly. On hers when you pressed the bagel option, you knew it was working because only one side lit up. When I bought mine, the outer edges of the toast don't toast well. The bagel setting I can't tell if it works. Both sides light up.

Thank you for offering your feedback regarding your Black+Decker T2569B. I’m sorry to hear about your frustration with your toaster’s design and results. It is normal for both sides to illuminate when using the bagel function, however, the toaster should be toasting the cut side while warming the outside of the bagel. If you are latching down the toasting lever and then pressing the bagel button, the bagel function should be engaged. If you’ve been operating your toaster in this manner and the issue persists, then I’d like to address this for you under the two year warranty. This is a replacement for my old toaster, and I like the way it looks and does a good job of toasting my muffins. I like that it has a crumb tray. Helps with cleaning.

The numbers on the toast shade selector dial began to wear off as soon as we used it and within a few months disappeared all together. We don't even use the toaster very often but now we have to guess at what it is set on when we make toast or heat up a waffle or anything. this some times results in burnt food.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I Liked Black and Decker products, but this 2 slice toaster stopped working suddenly, I am using it just little over 1 year and now its not working

Easy to Use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a BLACK+DECKER 2-Slice toaster in exchange for my honest review. It is really easy to use! My only issues with this toaster is the toasting doesn't reach to the edges as well as I would like and the extra lift on the lever doesn't lift it as high as I would like. Over all this is a great value. I love the easily removable crumb tray for easy clean up! I also really like the extra wide slots for using bagels, including a special setting for bagels and frozen items...and of course the very useful cancel button! It's nice and light weight as well, so I look forward to taking this camping to toast bagels for an easy breakfast.
I would recommend this to a friend!
