Lots if power, cheap plastic parts cut life way sh

I loved this set when I received it as a gift. Seemed sturdy with its glass container and really did have plenty of power. Unfortunately the plastic parts at the base where the containers connect to the blender quickly fell apart cutting the life of this appliance short. I cant seem to find replacement part which is disappointing and very likely the reason I would not recommend BD products or buy them in the future.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this! I use it to make smoothies, or to make pastes and sauces for dinner recipes. It's easy to take apart, use, and clean.

Plastic piece very cheap

I had the same problem with the plastic piece the makes blade spin, I´m looking for the part to buy it but reading reviews here it seems I can´t buy it? It was workin very good until this point and very dissapointing if I can´t get this part to fix it on my own since I don´t have the receipt.

Plastic Gear removable broken on 11th use

Plastic part on base is removable and replaceable without tools. Black and Decker will not replace this part. Very Disappointed. I have purchased B&D products for 35 years. I will no longer look for the Black and Decker Name as they do not have simple replacement parts.

Not good for nut butters

I've used this processor a few times for various things and it's worked well. I've made my own peanut and almond butter for years and noticed when I made peanut butter for the first time in this processor, it took twice as long, which was fine, the motor had to run for 10 minutes as opposed to 5. However, when I made almond butter, I had to run the processor for a full hour, which is ridiculous. Given our use, we'll be shopping for a different processor but it did work fine for everything else.
Also, the lid, there are too many pieces, it's clunky to take on and off if you need to scrape down the inside of the bowl. The feed chute is cumbersome and clumsy (the extras of it aren't necessary).
I'll use it until we replace it bit it will be soon.

it works good

We received this as a gift 5 years ago and it's been good to us. I use it on a regular basis . Over the weekend the part that the blender/food processor attach to the base with broke. How do I go about getting a new one??

Great processor, many good features, broken parts

Love this food processor. But haven't used it in a long time. Took it out of the cupboard and the stick for the grating / slicing implement is broken for no good reason. It's now unusable for the function. I use the most.
