I like the wireless connection

I am the computer geek in the family and my husband set this up quickly and easily! Enough said!
I can now print from my phone or anything else. Great product at least so far!

I hopefully won't have to worry about it malfunctioning the morning of my interview like my last printer. And the ink cartridges are much less expensive than my last printer so it's a keeper!

ok easy to setup

I purchased this because my D7600 would not take 10.4 mil professional paper 8600 won’t either. So not only am I out a box of paper but there is no use for the spare ink cartridges that HP said I should keep on hand. So $25 paper & 4 cartridges about $50 so the printer cost $75 more. Like Polaroid, give the printer away then charge a lot for cartridges . No more I’ll stop using HP cartridges get them refilled.

One continuing problem is hooking up with a network. Comes and goes. ???? I get lovely printed items so far - \very clear print. Still learning how to use it. Wish me luck!!

Great and Easy Setup

I bought this after looking at several reviews. We have mac and windows computers so needed one that would do both. Setup was effortless for the 3 computers. I am not a real computer pro, but I can do a lot and at 70 I wanted something that was EASY. I set this up for air print as well. It was really a no brainer, I did delete the previous printer on all computers. I had to get over the curve of printer with mac and windows, but really I think that is the user and not the printer. So far after almost a month I am very happy with my purchase. My husband is really pleased and I can now use my Mac to print.

The only minor, minor complaint is that when I send a print job, the printer sounds like it is going to jump off the desk... Otherwise, very pleased.

I almost hesitated buying another printer, but I needed one. Officejet has always been a workhorse in my last profession as a construction management superintendent. So when my Photosmart printer failed, I opted for the Officejet Pro 8600. Great yields on ink, wireless, easy to setup and use... etc. After screwing around with printing from its own email address, I accidentally found it has its own kind of local access wifi router to make it easy to print from your smartphone without having to use another router. Holy cow! Now I can print whatever I want straight from my phone with the ePrint app! Still need to see what else is possible. So far, I keep surprising myself by finding features this printer has that I didn't know about!
The price is excellent for this guy! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars yet is because I haven't put this thing to the test. Once that happens, I'd be willing to bet 5 stars are in its future!
Home or office, get this one, or one of its "brothers" to use!

So far everything is performing as advertised. Very easy to set up, love having a wireless printer, find the ink is lasting longer than I'd hoped and I didn't find it noisy as some have said, in fact I don't notice when it's printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
