Great bang for the buck!

I've had experience with HP products (printers and computers) for more than 20 years. My previous all-in-one device was the OfficeJet 5550v and it was the workhouse at my home for more than 10 years. When it finally came time to replace it, I already knew the new device would need to have easy fax setup and use, excellent scanning, quality copying and dependable printing. I'm happy to say that the 8600 fits the bill perfectly because it exceeds the 5550's specifications at an excellent price.

The printer works as advertised. The colors are good (but of course not great) and it can print photographs (but of course not at photo quality). This printer is an excellent bargain and is perfect for home or a small business.

Great Printer for price and full featured

Love HP Home Printers and have been using them since 1999. I am a business sales professional but dabble in the arts and this muti-function office jet is perfect for both. I can print full reports or scan important documents and old photos. Create family projects and art images, plus, really love the eprint function as well. Just a great value overall for the price and durability.
Set up took 5 minutes and after correcting a router issue, the printer was back online in one minute. I also set it up on the other wireless computer in the house and it prints perfectly.

I bought this to replace my old HP OfficeJet 6210 that finally up and died. I hope it does everything as well or better than the old printer. I will use it for home personal use. So far I haven't had it long enough to do an appropriate review; time will tell. The web connect e-print features are something new. I am not sure how that will fit with my past and current printer use but being "in the cloud" and web-connected are the current "IN THING." I'll learn, go nuts or die trying. I appreciate having dedicated software back to perform printer utility actions. This was missed when I went from Window XP to Windows 7 with the HP 6210. What was suppose to be "plug n' play" with the HP 6210 on Windows 7 became "plug n' pray." You didn't even have a utility to check ink levels and do a head cleaning. What is with that? Anyway, the HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 lets you do all that on Windows 7. YIPPEEE!

A great office all-in-one

I've gotten aggravated with cheap little home printers, so I jumped at the chance to buy an office-quality all-in-one for my home at a reasonable price. It is a bit large for my desk, but since it's wireless, I can put it out of the way easily, It integrated into my home network of three laptops, a desktop and another HP wireless printer almost effortlessly . I really like the e-print feature when I'm away from home. I've only had it few days but am completely satisfied.
