This is a very good printer. But the paper tray is chincey - not as easy to operate as the one I had in the 6180

Easy to set up with both mac and pc

Purchased this printer after my old one wouldn't work with my new Mac. Very easy to set up on both my new Mac laptop and PC laptop. Pretty large machine and the paper tray seems a little flimsy -- seems like I need to be very careful not to break the plastic. Haven't yet figured out an easy way to feed special paper, though haven't checked the directions yet...didn't need any documentation so far to get up and running.
I would recommend this to a friend!

They said it would be easy and it was. How about that. Easy setup and easy to use... Fits my ability just fine. Oh ya, and it prints great. Have not used the fax yet or a lot of photos but I am sure it will please.

While I haven't had the printer for very long; so far the printer performs perfectly, was easy to set-up, and has ALL the capibilities it is supposed to have!!

Good value for the money

This is a solid printer that is economical to use with many good features. The print speed and the quality of the print is very good. The documentation, that is the written part that comes with the printer could be improved. The printer is fairly easy to use and the way printer controls are impliminted on the printer is nice. No complaints so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Trying another one

I have two of these (at home and at work) and just bought a third one. They set up beautifully, print quality is great for the price, features are good, etc. The problem I have is that eventually they have a "paperjam" error which is NOT the problem. HP can't resolve it and the printer people I have consulted say it is a firmware problem. Bought the third one because I like the product otherwise and it was REALLY on sale. So I get a year of use and some great quality prints. Even after the "paperjam" error, the fax continues to send and am using it for a second outgoing fax line at work. The scanner continues to function so I am still able to scan to a network printer. Would not recommend to anyone as their ONLY printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
