Excellent Printer

It took some help from one of my technology savvy kids because I am not at all good at those skills and didn't even try to take it out of its box, but the printer is up and running and I really like it. I recently used it to print two-sided IRS forms and it worked like a charm. Thank you HP! This Senior citizen is satisfied!

The printer seems to have a bit of difficulty printing photos/images from InDesign. It tends to leave streaked images, as if the printer is scanning the image in too broad a swath. I think it might be acceptable if the printer would make additional/smaller skans, but I don't think there's a way to force the printer to do this. True, additional swaths across the image would result in a much slower print output, but the results might prove to make it well worth the time involved.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My printer was easy to set up and use. I was concerned about getting the whole wireless thing syncing with my computer, but I didn't do a thing; the printer did it all. I love this printer!! Has all the features I wanted without the hefty price tag. Thanks again, HP!!

I like my new printer. I was dissappointed that it did NOT come with a printer cable. Also, under my HP applications (I run this printer with my mac) there are two scan options. Scan 3, which works fine, and Scan Pro, with does not work. I have not had time to search why it is not working, or what I need to do to get it working. Other than that, printer works good, fast. (I have only had it for 1 week.)

My New HP 8600 Rocks

This is the best printer I have ever purchased from HP. The 8600 is very fast and the the printing looks like laser quality. I like the larger ink cartriges and the huge paper tray.as well. I like the ease of installation. I was up and printing in less than 10 minutes. Thanks HP for a job well done.

Brand new product had to be returned because the port was bad. After I took the time to register it, unhook the old printer and hook up the new one then un hook the new one and rehook the old one while I waited for the replacement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
