Does it all for my Home/Office needs

This printer meets my needs perfectly. I do a lot of document printings and using the 2-side print option. The control panel walks one through any feature. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and if you don't get it the first go-around all you have to do is hit repeat. This newer version of the Office Jet is fast, quick and, so far at least, no paper jams. I also resize pages for better presentation. The printer offers enough options in this area to make anyone happy. The print is clear, the colors bright. I always make it a habit to use HP Ink. It's well worth it when you see the results. This and the fact that it's extremely easy to install makes it another winner for me.

I really like the printer, but I have reservations with the software that comes with the printer. This is the second HP printer purchased and both times I needed help from Technical Support to fix the install. The HP Software also uses up lots of memory at start up of the computer so I had to fix the HP start up options. Once the software issues are fixed it is a great machine.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this printer for my home office to replace an OfficeJet 6500. You can definately see and hear the difference in the new techology. This All-In-One printer scans twice as fast and the printing capabilities are the best that I have seen for an OfficeJet printer. I feel I have made a good choice in this replacement. It was fairly easy to set up except my CD didn't work with the "autorun" feature. I downloaded the drivers from the HP website. Once those were installed and I completed the registration, the All-In-One worked flawlessly.

Have had a number of different makes of printers over the years but have always come back to HP because they seem to be a step above the rest and I like the service. The Officejet Pro 8600 has all of the features I like. I especially like the envelope feature in the feed tray. The new ink cartridges are much better than the previous ones although they weren't that bad. It is a joy to work with!!!!
