Does what it's expected

My other wireless HP printer died on me and I got this one now, because an HP rep told me there was no solution but to buy a new one. What a business is this!!! Still went with HP...? I like the fact that I can print from my iPad or iPhone. Prints very fast. The quality of printing is ok. It was easy to install. You need to have the space to put it on, since is very big, bulky. We use it as a home printer, copy and fax. The price was reasonable for the features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

When my previous HP officejet printer died, my son bought me another brand for my birthday. I really tried hard to like my birthday printer for 5 months. Finally I gave up and bought myself the HP 8600. I love this printer. I plan to donate the other printer. Thank you HP for not only making a quality printer but also hiring courteous professional customer service agents who know the product they are selling and are customer focus.

A Steal at Twice the Price

I originally researched and bought my HP 8600 for it's price and it's ability to wirelessly serve my needs. Unbelievably inexpensive! And it's a 4-way multi-purpose device to boot! I've had laser printers for the last decade and comparing the print from the last three of them to the HP print technology is indistinguishable as near as I can tell. But the lasers cost more, much more. And it prints faster than you would think. Certainly faster than the lasers that preceded it. Oh yeah, did I mention that it takes legal sized paper. And it duplexes (both sides). It took just under 15 minutes to set up this printer.....on 5 computers! For the average small business or home user I don't think this printer, at twice its price can come even close to duplicating the 8600 specs. And you won't believe how cheap per page this printer can do. But don't believe me...do your own research and see where you wind up.

The installation process is simple and straight forward. Once you have the printer unboxed and tapes off. Just plug it in, the wifi detects the available networks and prompts you to select the wireless network. After entering the correct password for the wireless network, just follow the instructions and you are done. The whole process completes just from the printer mini touch screen.
