product is great but is hard to wake up and print

I am very dissapointed that the 8600 all in one officejet does not print on demand. It has to be restarted at times. I love the features but this sleep mode ruins the performance. My 8500 did not have this problem.

Works with iMac, not with MacBook Air.

My Officejet 8600 Pro set-up was easy and connected with my iMac with no issues. However, I cannot get my MacBook Air to recognize this printer, which is frustrating, because I was counting on being able to print remotely on the 8600.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The only thing I wish my new Pro8600 all-in-one unit had is the PC desktop application similar to one for my 7310 unit. It was much more user friendly. Other than that, I love the unit.

I have been very pleased with almost everything the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium has to offer. My only real complaint is the way envelopes are handled. I ordered the Premium so that I could have the second paper drawer. There is nowhere in the pre-order product information that states that it will only take A4 or 8 1/2 x 11 paper, no specialty papers, no envelopes. I really do not like the fact that I have to remove my paper from the top tray to place my envelope for printing. If I could leave a stack of envelopes in my second tray, this would not be an issue. I considered using the second tray as my default print location and leaving my envelopes in the top, but I use duplex printing frequently and this, too, is only available from the top tray. If this was not a problem for me, I would have given a 5 star rating.

Excellent Document feed

I purchased this product to replace an HP OfficeJet Pro 8500 Premium, which was a good printer that I used for 4 years, but it had some document feed problems, especially from tray 1. The document feeding in this 8600 has been redesigned, and fixes the problems that I had with the 8500. This is a great printer, and I love the ePrint feature.

Very easy to setup. No wires to connect to the computer, just plug in phone. Mobile printing from and Samung Galaxy SIII phone is great. Scan directly to email is very usefull to send long documents.
