We bought the 14.8 cubic foot freezer a couple months ago. So far it is freezing just great. Not much ice build-up which is good. What can I say. We had a 19 cubic freezer that was 19 years old and were afraid that we might come home one day and find it not working. Managed to get almost everything into the new freezer but I haven't seen the vegetables since. Must be way down in the bottom. ;-)

Expectations on a chest freezer are fairly focused - it needs to freeze food, and it does just that. It would be nice to have a light in the lid, but I knew that when I bought it, so I have only myself to blame. Otherwise, it's great!!

Rock solid performance

Exactly as advertised. The dimensions are exactly as advertised so pay attention if you have only 28" door jams. (Not going through!). Setting of factory (5) didn't quite get the unit to zero overnight but 6 did it while 1/2 full of previously frozen foods. The 2 lift out baskets are great. Absolutely silent. On it's own 20A line and that's unbelievable overkill. The clamp on amp-meter shows about 3 amps when I put my ear to the unit and can tell the compressor is running, which is rare. Don't need all the other extras like lights so I don't miss them, never wanted them. Almost 15 Cu Ft of freezer space is huge. Glad I didn't go for the 21 Cu Ft unit.

This freezer is roomy and has great storage baskets. It fit well where we needed it and does the job as expected. Great value for the money. No complaints.
