I cannot believe how bright this projector is. Using a 120 inch screen with a plus 3 gain. Best picture I have seen. Installers could not believe it either.

Outstanding clarity and amazing IMAX-like 3D

The Sony VPL-VW600ES is our first foray into front projection. Priced well above our initial budget, I've never regretted buying the best of the best and so extended our budget to include this projector, a Screen Innovations 100" motorized flush-mounted/recessed "Black Diamond" screen, and the Sony 4K media server (the wife's bathroom project will have to wait).
I can honestly state that, after basic calibration, this is by far the best HD picture I've ever seen. We're constantly noticing details like facial features, arm hair, flying insects, blemishes on actors and equipment, and rich, rich color depth. And the 3D effect from the active glasses is nothing short of breathtaking. In a completely darkened room, the picture becomes infinitely deep and ultimately realistic to the point it almost looks like low fly-over scenes should have water pouring out of the bottom of the screen into the viewing room.
I could go into more detail about specs and resolution and color gamut, but suffice to say we are extremely impressed with this projector and are delighted we decided to go with the best of the best.

Will not stream 4K unless the projector has 4K TV

This projector will not stream 4K content unless it is connected via HDMI cables to a Sony 4K TV. So why bother with the projector?
I hope Sony will allow me to return the projector
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
