[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The outside is sleek and attractive. While this dishwasher washes better than our previous dishwasher, the inside is not as deep; therefore having less room to fit dishes. Also, the silverware rack on the side is so close to the edge where you close the drawer that the handle on the silverware case or silverware often get caught on the door insulation. The manual says to put the forks and knives with handles up, but then the forks stick out the bottom and make it difficult to close. While I am happy that cleaning is better, I am disappointed in the design of the drawers and the depth of the tub.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GE said this was a replacement model for the one we bought that was burning up inside. It is a LOT smaller on the interior. We can NOT get pots and pans in that we could fit in the last one!

I've been looking for a dishwasher like my mom had when I was little. They lasted so many years. Now you are lucky to get 5 years out of them. I was disappointed with the size. It is 3 inches smaller inside on the top and the bottom racks than my old GE one. It doesn't hold nearly as many dishes as my old one. It did however, clean my dishes pretty well. I just wish for the cost it was bigger and I hope it lasts longer than my other GE dishwasher

I didn't get to see a floor model before buying because the major concern was getting one with a height that would not necessitate removing tiles in the floor or breaking the counter. Sure wish I would have seen a model. The drawer falls into the crease between the base and the door when you roll it out, the dishes do not sit in the spaces neatly causing almost all my dishes to now have chips and cracks, and the door doesn't close easily- it needs to be forced ( which always triggers it to set a wash cycle). I am terribly disappointed.

I like the hot start feature and love the fact that the unit is ultra-quiet. The top drawer is somewhat difficult to load; the drawer does not slide out far enough to clear the end of the counter and there's little room between the top of the unit and the drawer.

This machine washes extremely well, however I am very disappointed in with some other aspects. The top rack is very hard to fill as it does not seem to come out fully so it is hard to get stuff in every spot. Also have a problem with it not always drying completely and have to frequently put some items in dish rack to finish the drying process.

The first dishwasher I purchased didn't work at the time it was installed. So a replacement was ordered. I used the replacement for a month and then it stopped working (same issue).

Only had for about 2 weeks. Loud and dishes no cleaner than with my old broken dishwasher. Would give zero stars if I could. Immediately removed and replaced with model GDT580SMFES. Much better model. Don't bother with GLDA 690FWW
