It's a great printer...

...I love the quality of the printing for both text and photos. I wanted a printer which I could access by network and it is flawless in doing this.
One thing which would improve the scanner facility would be for the 'lid' to be able to lie completely flat to facilitate scanning of books or magazines
I would recommend this to a friend!

Fantastic Printer

This is the best printer I've ever had-by a very long way. Apart from outstanding print quality, it uses AirPrint technology which not only means you can print to it wirelessly from any computer or iphone connected to your home wifi - but you can send it an email with a document attached and it will print it out. It prints double-sided as well, if you want. Also unlike many other printers, low ink doesn't stop it working. You just get gentle reminders to change the cartridge. And there are four separate cartridges so no ink ever gets wasted.
It is also an excellent photocopier - slow but very easy to use through the touchscreen.
Do I have any negative comments? Well, yes! The scanner isn't much good for hi-res stuff but is fine for documents. My main gripe with it is that on an A4 sheet, the print is very slightly wonky. I've tried everything to fix it but that's just the way it is. Disappointingly, this is the second HP printer I've had with this fault. So - four stars. I would have given it five, but for the wonky print.

Although this printer took a long time to arrive, it was very easy to set up, it's very easy to use and the quality of print is excellent. On the negative side, it is quite noisy and the paper doesn't seem to fit firmly in the tray. For this reason, I have been unable to successfully use the printer for small labels as it prints out of line. For normal everyday use it does the job but if you're looking for a printer that is suitable for specialist tasks, I would look a little further...

Was brilliant when 1st set up not so great now

I purchased this specifically to enable me to print from my Ipad and Iphone and apon first set up this was brilliant, showed my family how I could print a photo imediatley, print quality is fantastic and fast. However, now I cannot print from my Ipad, Iphone or laptop. I have tried a couple of times to use the help function but it has not helped me and at the moment I dont have time to spend hours trying to sort this out. I purchased a HP printer as I had previously brought HP products and they were really good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
