A good buy

This is a great printer, easy to use, efficient, good quality and so far worry free a few months in. I have used HP printers for many years but this is the first time I had one that effortlessy prints on both sides of the paper. Scanning and photcopying is also hassle free and the touch screen is easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good ideas but they don't work!

I bought this product rather than the standard printer because it was sold to me on the newly designed 'photo tray'. This should allow you to change from photo printing to A4 without leaving your chair...brilliant idea....if it worked. I used the printer for only 3 weeks before the photo paper wouldn't load and none of the numerous 'fixes' online helped and I was not alone. A quick search for 6510 photo paper problems threw up many more unhappy customers with the same problem. It seems Hp came up with an inventive design but didn't test it in practice first. It's also tricky to set up for scanning and isn't as 'one touch' for this as you'd think. Would stick to basic model from now on. The shop changed it for me so I can't fault after care or HP Helpdesk who were very good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good performance but very noisy

This is a much better printer than the 5510 that I had before. The paper feed on that was very poor. This one has a proper paper tray and feeding is not an issue. Colours are good and other function OK too. The down side is that it is very noisy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Kit

Works very well - but so far cannot use the remote email/print function, something has gone wrong with the account information I set up at the outset, keeps telling my password is incorrect!! Also not impressed with HPs technical backup. After problems to start with I was promised £20 voucher against an ink purchase - the voucher code didnt work and I gave up after several changes. It really is difficult to get through and speak to the right person.

Competitive price, compact, good build quality plus all the features needed for a busy small business application..makes for a product thats hard to resist. Set up was a breeze..we were up and going within the hour! Operation is very straight forward. Print quality and speed is more than acceptable on both documents or pictures. Have been using the scanner extensively for archiving pictures and documents and am very happy with the results. Connects up perfectly to my imac, ipad, iphone and HP laptop...and can print over wifi network from any device, which is very handy!
In short...i know i made the right decision and would recommend this product to others without hesitation

Machine works ok. Does what it says on the packet. Reasonably neat and not too big. BUT VERY NOISY in operation.

Wireless wonder

I have had a fairly reliable printer for a while, but felt with two computers in the house that I wanted to move to wireless technology as there were many occasions when I needed to print something from my lap top which was not connected to the old printer. I went into the store with a fixed idea of which model I was going to buy but was persuaded by the assistant that the HP I purchased would be a better option and I am not disappointed. It was easy to set up and has all the functions I wanted being able to scan and copy as well as regular printing. General printing quality is excellent as is the quality of photographs. I understand that the running costs will be reasonable too, this is on the advice of the shop assistant. If you want an easy to set up multi function wireless printer this could be for you,

Good Buy

I bought this printer on the say so of an assistant in PC World / Curry's and have been very pleased with the performance and quality of the product. The duplex printing feature in a printer of this price is brilliant and is already saving paper as my wife always prints web pages without checking what she is actaully printing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
