The Photosmart 6510 was fairly simple for me to set up wirelessly,having first connected it to my PC with a USB cable in order to initialise it.From then on it has performed faultlessly,and gives superb photo-reproduction from my files.The registration of the unit online ensures updates & takes care of all my requirements .... an excellent acquisition all round,and certainly my best printer to date.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a really good printer. Very easy to set up, to understand, and to operate. Produces good quality prints every time. Ink cartridges can be changed individually and are reasonably priced.
It is a tad noisy, best positioned away from work area.

Copying items is good, but disappointing that the size of paper for the photos is so small, ie 6"x4". Would have been much better if you could use A4 for multiple photos and cut it to the size you want, also having to use 'special' ink for the photos is a real pain, not as cheap as I thought for their inks. Also extremely noisy in operation, during and after printing. So perhaps if I had seen/heard/known all the above I may well have looked at another printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought a previous HP printer for its wireless capability and was very happy with the functionality and features of all its functions, from just wireless printing to multi page document scanning and copying. I even liked the idea that I could chose my own email address for eprint. I used the printer for some time without problems, but was eventually tempted away into replacing it with a competitor who promised great features and cheaper printing costs.... What a big mistake.... it was no where near as functional and easy to use as the HP printer.
I very soon ditched the competitor and bought another HP printer (HP 6510 photosmart) and I am again very pleased with it. It was extremely easy to set up, and the functions work as I expected and a bonus is the double sided printing facility. I would highly recommend HP printers, yes, the ink is a bit more expensive than some others, but I think it is worth it for the ease of use and functionality of the printer.
