This printer is good value at amazon, and prints letters ok. But this printer is a photosmart and does not print photos ( the reason I bought it ) symetrical, tapered borders do not look good. but it does have the usual good HP finish and reliability hence 4 stars. I am supprised at you HP letting the running gear let you down, have seen this problem mentioned before.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This was sold as remote printer and has not worked remotely at all. had to buy a cable. The quality of printing is poor sometimes it prints okay mostly has a line down the middle and scrunches the paper. It is meant to calibrate automatically according to Comet but does not do so. In short has never worked properly. I am now considering taking it back once I check insurance certificate.

Problem with alignment

The machine is not bad, except for one thing which I still haven't managed to solve - the alignment.
I don't know what went wrong. However, regardless of the times I tried to fix the alignment problem, somehow, when printing photos, most of them are still tilted to one side of the paper, which is very annoying. I simply don't know what to do with it...

AVOID!! HP Photosmart 5510

The most pointless thing I've ever bought! It constantly loses connection to the wireless router, or says that it's connected but then doesn't print. The only way of getting it to print was to turn it and the router off and on again which I resent doing. I bought a cable for it and it still didn't work.
Huge problems with the wireless connection aside, it often printed pages wonky/at an angle and with a smear down the middle - useless!
The email facility was great as was the photocopying and scanning, but so what, many printers can do that.
I advise anyone NOT to buy this useless printer. A shame as our previous HP was great until it wore out after many years' faithful service.

So easy to order and receive items. Ink from HP is better quality and lasts longer than cheap imitations.

I like the way it links up easily to my laptop. It is quick to print and accurate in the printing. I use it for all my printing. It does not take too much space as it is compact.

Disappointed

Love the freedom of wireless connection but disappointed with the printer. Still have my old printer and prefer the quality of print on my HP psc1100. Also paper feeds beautifully on my old printer but not on the new Photosmart 5510 - often crooked. Paper feed tray and holder very flimsy. Would also appreciate more info re ink low warning, showing which colour or just black is low to show on screen, maybe I have missed how to do this but not sure, Thought I'd lose my old psc1100 but have decided to keep it for printing photos and more important documents for the quality. Disappointing.

I am rather disappointed with this printer as I find it quite difficult to command. I previously had an hp photosmart printer which was simplicity itself and which did all the things I wanted to do. With the present printer I find I am constanty having to refer to the help pages in order to undertake quite simple tasks. I am still trying to work out how to print pictures from my pictures folder and from web pages - I find this extremely frustrating.
