Meets all my needs

Took some time to select, but I have what I need in many ways,it really is fast,apart from a few probs locating drivers for WIN8,which you have now resolved.

Very pleased with this printer. worked straight from the box 'wireless' with my laptop and with a new pc which runs windows 8, after I loaded the drivers from hp.
Very quiet and still on the ink that came with it.

Extremely Low Quality

Terrible build quality, and a very high failure rate. HP have had to send 4 replacement printers, all within first 18months of product life.
Cannot emphasise how poor I've found this product to be, and will not be looking at HP inkjet printers for the home in future.
Failures of each of the 4 printers sent include: o Complete inability to pick up paper (twice, on two different printers)
o a failure of the inkjet head, with specific error code.
o An undefined error code for 'printer system failure', preceded by several minutes of extremely loud crunching noise when powering on the printer.

I am sure HP would send me a 5th printer if I notified them of the most recent failure, but there seems little point receiving another unit when it is prone to fail as quickly as each of the others.

I liked the 5510 printer but it failed within a few weeks. Now the replacement one has failed (within 5 months). The NEW replacement (ie no. 3) is a 5514 which did not respond to the previous driver - this could only be reinstalled after the hard-disk was reset to factory settings, involving a huge amount of trouble and considerable expense. I believe the printer has a good reputation but we are disappointed so far. I bought your first ever small bubble-jet printer and it was still working when I last saw it 2 years ago! But my new Pavilion computer also failed after a few days (the replacement P6 2185 seems fine after 5 months). HP doesn't seem to be what it was.

photosmart 5510 all in one after many hours trying to set up wireless communication and many hours on the phone with HP support group , whom i might add were briliant with me and helped me in any way they could,any communication set up with my laptop, also HP, is lost overnight, all efforts to solve it have failed

Worst purchase ever

Where to begin......first printer wouldnt print black! second printer prints but the build and print quality leaves something to be desired. I own another HP printer an old 4260 and the difference is night and day. On a plus side the replacement printer arrived quickly after submiting a warranty claim. I think as is the case with everything these days that overheads /shipping costs etc play a big part in the quality of the end product.

This was bought mostly to use as a standalone copier and for printing photos. It's copying is very slow. having tried it for it for printing photos, I decided not to use it because the image from my non-specialist laser printer is far better

I am very pleased with this printer. Easy Wifi set up that works, excellent colour and print quality and fast at printing. Haven't used all the functionality yet but very pleased with it so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!
