Good wireless printer

Buying a printer is a bit of a minefield for the casual purchaser. I had identified the HP 5510 as it had good features and we already had an old, but reliable B/W laser printer for bulk work. The person at the shop was knowledgable about the range and helped with the decision.
The 5510 works well and gives good results. The wireless setup was a bit of a fiddle (lot of texting on a small screen)but it worked.
The consumables look to be about mid market, but I would want to check this out if I was going to do a lot of printing.
The small touch screen works well and I have used it for, scanning, copying and saving to file.
Design looks nice on the desk.
It 'talks a lot' when first switched on.
Ideal for home use.

I found this printer to be neat, light & easy to use. I was particularly pleased by the separate ink cartridges which cut costs & are can be bought in a handy set of 3 or singly. The printer is totally Wi Fi and with e-print can be accessed from anywhere.
One small niggle, the 5510 software will not support Duplex printing. I am also less than pleased that manuals have to be downloaded at the purchasers cost. But that is another issue.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great printer, easy to setup. works out of the box.
Inks last a long time 3,000 pages on one set of inks.
I have set up all three of my computers wirelessly to the printer.

Slight down side not able to transfer pictures directly to the PC via the printers SD slot.

We checked at least six other makes of Scanner /Printer before settling on the HP Photosmart 5510e-All-in-One Printer, The price was Excellent-
Easy to use-Small and compact sits on my desk without the need of connecting wires-
Excellent clear printing of e-mails and letters-Great results from scanning and printing my Coloured photos and my Black & Whites-Wireless is a must I can move anywhere in the home and remain connected-other members of the family are also connected from different parts of the home- I have had no reason to regret buying this item it's given me great results on everything I have done. If anyone is thinking of buying a printer Scanner for home use this is the one to chose

Worst purchase ever

This printer asks to have it's print cartridges aligned every day, no matter how many times I go through the alignment process, the next day all four cartridges will ask to be aligned again. I'm totally sick of this printer and the HP website is worse than useless for customer service.
It does print OK and the wireless functions work OK. Like all HP printers it chunters on to it's self for ages with wirring and clicking when ever you send a job to the printer. but the cartridge alignment issue is a real problem
