Advanced features good; Basic feature bad

The advanced features on this product were very impressive for me. The scanner and associated software worked very well. The set-up process using the small screen was very nice, the product works very well in my wireless network and the remote printing via email is useful and works well. All these features are great. However, for me the basic print function is not very good. When printing Excel documents with bold lines, or emails/Word documents with bold type, the print is always smudged and does not look nice at all. For me it's a shame that the basic function of the product doesn't measure up to the more advanced features.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent quality printer

The best printer I have purchased so far. No issues with wireless setup. Print quality is excellent. Printer looks great too. On screen touch system is so easy to use. You have option to use touch screen menu or printer software on your PC to use scan, copy features. Don't waste time and buy this one you won't be disappointed.

My old printer had died unexpectedly. I bought this one after seeking some guidance from `Which?' on the best companies and most reliable equipment, price etc. I found the printer easy to install, and very quickly working on documents I needed urgently. Colour balance on images not so good, but quick and reliable on documents, so far. Worth a look.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall, an excellent printer. Stylish, compact with good quality photos.
One drawback,when copying the printed sheet does not come out square but is slightly out of alignment with the edge of the paper.
If this can be sorted I would rate it as excellent.

Really disappointed

Have returned not one but now two of these printers to John Lewis because you cannot get the paper to line up to print straight. Very flimsy cheap paper tray. And the quality of photo printing is very, very poor. Not what I would expect from an HP printer
