We recently had need to replace our printer, we had so many to choose from but kept being drawn back to the 5510series which we did purchase.We are highly delighted with it. A great buy.

Bought as a present I can't think of a better gift. I use it all the time to print photographs and official documents as well as fun things. It's so easy to use and it looks great as well. It scans, it copies and prints, it can almost dance. Wonderful product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I pad 1 printing

Being an o. A.p and not really computer person.i just wanted a printer for my I pad ! Read Lots of reviews became totally Confused. Decided on hp 5500 .with help from my son ,took him about 5mins to set up .never looked back now have an I pad printer no fuss or bother an excellent bit of kit

After limited use so far this printer, which was easy to set up, has performed very well both in documentation and photographs.
It is a neat tidy unit which is easily stored to hand . The wireless facility makes that less necessary as I have found when accessing and printing from a netbook elsewhere in the house
It is certainly up to the task of presenting "interesting " documents and photos rather than day to day correspondence etc. A trusty LaserJet 1022 takes care of those.
I would like to comment on the economy of the cartridges but I am still using the set up items supplied!.
I am retired, and while not an expert in computing, thanks to a number of years working from a basic level I have a reasonable understanding of how to make computers and peripherals do their job.. (Taking old ones to pieces can be a valuable aid!)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Also paper jam sometimes effects the ink cartridges. Just unclip them and replace they then work OK

Quality of prints is average, poor for some reason if printing PDF, bought this as it was compatible with iPad but it doesn't always print when you'd like it too although it does with the hp app for this printer, very odd

Up and running, wireless, within 20 mins, setup that a 2 year old could follow.
Only niggle is the noise at start up, but not a lot you can do about that.
Photo prints great with excelent colour.
Would recomend to anyone.
