Worked for a while but then needed to replace the gasket on the door and guess what? Whirpool doesn't make it anymore, so I had to buy from an appliance part store and it was subpar quality. I am never buying Whirlpool products again...if someone gave me some as a gift I would sell them and buy somnething else.

I absolutely HATE this refrigerator. We were replacing a Designer Style Whirlpool that we loved. We are extremely disappointed with this one. Some of the food in the refrigerator section freezes while the other food is just fine. The meat drawer is very cheap, we are sure it will break before the refrigerator is a year old. The drawer is also difficult to pull out. The design of the refrigerator section is not real user friendly, as when we store larger bowls we can only put them on the bottom or very top shelf. There is very little room on the middle shelf to allow for certain containers, even cans of soda do not fit on the middle section. The shelves on the freezer door are not very wide. With our other refrigerator the freezer shelves were wide enough that we could put cans of juice concentrate in them, we are unable to do that with this one. This refrigerator is a huge disappointment. The design and quality of this refrigerator don't even compare to our other refrigerator!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Terrible temperature control

Single temperature adjustment would not keep food frozen and not freeze food in the refrigerator portion. Can choose frozen lettuce or soupy ice cream. Multiple repair calls and no solution I am currently waiting for total breakdown so I can buy a different refrigerator.

Have really enjoyed the quietness of this refrigerator. Have had other brands that were very noisey. Style and design fit decor of room.

We had some concerns about purchasing this fridge because of some of the reviews. We're satisfied generally but there are some issues. Food freezes near the bottom at the back of fridge above the crispers. One of the reviews I read mentioned this complaint as well so I guess there is a design flaw here When you close the fridge door there is a slight grinding sound as if something is interfering with the hinge action. The fridge came with a Fresh Flow produce preserver which for the life of me I can't figure out where it goes. Some of the smaller the door compartments are inconvenient to access.On the positve side the ice maker is working well which was an problem for one reviewer and the freezer is working well. The door compartments for bottles are handy. The big shallow covered drawer on top is convenient and hasn't fallen out like one reviewer complained. The appearance of the fridge is nice and goes well with the Whirlpool microwave which we purchased.

overall seems to be a very energy efficient fridge. Feels solid. Great for basement, secondary, or even primary fridge if you don't need water dispenser. clean lines, fits well in second fridge application for us. if you are looking for a better than basic fridge, this is the one to get. largest freezer ratio, best energy efficiency. most features in its class. looks contemporary with its clean lines.electronic controls, glass multi function shelves, filters for smell, freshness, and ice cube taste! Ice cubes come out CLEAR, nicer than on my more expensive freezer in kitchen.QUIET too.
