I replaced an energy INEFFICIENT 20 cu ft with this 16 cu ft EFFICIENT freezer. The size is perfect, it runs very little and keeps a constant temperature. There is abundant room for everything that I wish to keep frozen. I love my new Whirlpool freezer.

Very, very disspointed

We bought this just over a year ago and today I found a freezer full of warm, spoiled food and meat. Of course, we are one month past the warranty! The chest freezer I replaced with this one was 15 years old and had been moved several times, I wanted the convenience of an upright. We gave the chest freezer to my son and it is still working!!! Guess I made the wrong choice. Don't know how much it will be to repair, not looking forward to that expense during the holidays!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only thing I don't care for is the basket at the bottom......instead of a drop down grate I would have preferred a pull out basket
