Replacement freezer

Recent purchase to replace older, smaller and non working freezer/ So far, this unit has performed well - fast freeze and quiet. Previous one has a small light which indicated it was running - a nice, but relatively unimportant extra which is not included on this one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

ok, could be improved

Using laser temperature measurements, temp varies from -12 C at the upper level to -18 C at the lower level. We had to move the door handle from the LHS to the RHS and found this job, indicated in the manual to be relatively easy, actually quite challenging. The biggest problem was getting the lower support bolts started into the door after switching the side the door swivels on. They should be self-tapping screwbolts - must have spent an hour just getting them started - very thoughtless engineering.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a waste of money. Seventeen months after purchase, freezer blows in warm air. First and last whirlpool any appliance in our home. No wonder it was discontinued.

Great freezer

We love this Whirlpool freezer. Lots of shelf space & secure areas on doors for storage. Great that it has interior lights and is auto defrost.

when upright freezer was installed was very easy to load and could hardly hear it running. Outside is easy to clean. am very pleased with my purchase. The temp control and light are in a good location.

This freezer is wonderful! Just the right height, just the right size, so easy to find things...I'm not digging around in a chest freezer. The frozen food is organized on different shelves so it minimizes the time I have the door open. Good storage in the door for my glass jars of food. Wish I had bought it sooner!!! Whirlpool, thanks for a great product. And, it's made in the UNITED STATES!!!
