I got my phone November 2014 and there is none other that compares. This is why:
- Z3 compact is the perfect size, not too big not too small, with a colorful screen.
- The battery is impressive. With regular use I only need to charge it once every 2 days. On average it lasts around 30 - 36 hours.
- Fully water resistant. You don't have to worry to take it out when it is raining. Also you can take photos underwater which is cool.
- It is very fast, and i have yet to notice any lag.
- The sound is quite good too with the front speakers.
- Sound when recording videos is great. I shot some videos and concerts and even when it is very loud the sound recorded is pretty good, you can actually hear the music. With previous phones I only heard lots of undistinguishable noise

The phone is not 100% perfect but I wouldn't consider them as flaws either. I still think is better than any iphone. But I do hope they fix some details with the camera:
- Camera can take great photos but the focus behaves weirdly, especially while taking video.

It technically measures up to all the specs I expected. It's a good size, the screen is great (though often too bright), and it's even survived a drop onto a tile floor. The speakers are great. I love having an SD card I can pull out. But the overall feel of it is kind of flaky and awkward in a subtle way, and I won't get another Sony phone.
The Sony version of Android is cluttered and a bit clunky. The touch screen occasionally goes crazy and I have to reboot the phone to fix it. The on-screen keyboard mostly works fine, but is frequently terrible. The camera is much worse than I'd hoped. The built-in music app is terrible. The contacts app often takes five seconds to pull up someone's contact info.
The phone sometimes works great, but other times it really doesn't. I also have a Nexus 7 tablet, and although that has a slower CPU, it feels much more elegant and clean and pleasant to use. I wish I'd gotten the Nexus 5 instead, even though the specs are not quite as impressive.

A fast phone with outstanding battery life and not too much Sony bloatware. It also accepts a microSD card for storing media. The camera is also quite good, though not as good as you might expect with the 20Mp sensor. For me, the size is right, as it fits well in my pocket and my hand, unlike its big brother and some of the other Plus sized phones. Lots of internal storage for my apps. I use it on T-Mobile and it's been upgraded automatically to Lollipop 5.0.2. I wanted to buy another Z3 Compact, but they are hard to find; it looks as if Sony is about to replace it.

Great phone, breaks easily

One of the best phones out there in a compact size if not THE best. Fast, excellent specs, great camera, i love this phone. A few weeks after receiving the phone i put it down on my desk (didn't drop it or even close to that) and the back glass shattered. I had to replace it myself because sony will not help out at all. I would recommend the phone but not until they do something about the fragile glass which breaks with minimal usage. Unacceptable imo.

This phone lasted a week and a half before the screen shattered. Then to add insult, customer service is terrible. They can't repair it, they can't replace it, and the insurance I paid extra for is useless. I was offered and buyout for a reduced amount of the cost of the phone, and that apparently takes 3 to 4 MONTHS to fulfill. You'll regret this phone. I do.

I was quite selective and did serious research prior to choosing the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. It appeared to be the right phone for me, but even so, I wondered how it would work out. Now after 6 months of use, I can say it is an outstanding phone for the following reasons: (1) Battery lasts me 7 days under my normal use, 3-4 days with heavy use; (2) Screen is large and extremely clear; (3) Size is just right to fit comfortably in my left front pants pocket; (4) Camera is excellent resulting in good color and clarity of photos....as long as there is not a "bright spot" in the background; (5) Price is right. I really have no negative comments. I have been recommending this phone to my friends.
