Perfect size. Glass on back makes it slippery - should be grippy.
Software is a little laggy, which shouldn't happen in a top-of-the-line phone. No option to remove bloatware, which probably contributes to the lag. No good use of SD card slot.
Sony/Google are making roots more difficult, which takes away much of the reason to buy Android instead of Apple. When people ask me why I don't have an iphone when I can obviously afford one, I could, in the past, talk about how I have more control over my phone and what it does. Less so without root, will be probably even less with next Android release. So soon I will say just get an iphone.
This phone has super functionality, looks great, and takes very nice photos. However, it is quite fragile, as it didn't survive a foot and a half fall! The screen broke and that was the end of its week or so life. Pretty bumbed on that note. Good thing I bought the insurance. I just didn't expect to need it that soon. In the mean time, back on my Xperia TL, which has been used and abused, but still keeps trucking! Screen durability upgrade should be a must for the Z4. Otherwise, looking forward to my replacement, which will apparenly have to live in a case.
I purchased this phone after a good experience with HTC one and a decent experience with a GS5. I wanted the premium hardware design aesthetic that only Sony and Apple can deliver, long battery life (the GS5 was miserable), a neat in class camera, and something close to stock android ifi didn't join the hordes with ios. This phone has kicked a** on every count. And two killer fearures... SD card support, and a spot for a wrist strap!
Excellent phone. I'm coming from an iPhone 5S just because I did not want to buy the exact same phone but bigger (iPhone 6/6 Plus). I choosed the Xperia Z3 compact after reviewing several different phones from all the manufacturers and I´m more than happy about the choise I made. This phone excels in almost every aspect like its camera, processor, screen resolution, battery (the best ever), water proof... The only thing I would like this phone to improve would be the speaker to be louder and maybe the vibration to be stronger.
The z3 compact has a lot in a small package.... I have compared to other larger full size Android and iOS phones and it's capabilities are in line with those devices. I like the size as well and the integration of the apps with Android and Blue Tooth Connectivity are top notch.
The battery last almost a full day as I am running and going full speed all day.
I am not a fan of the USB being mounted on the side and the screen cracked with a small drop while in a protective case but otherwise, I am very happy.
The Z3 has a simple yet elegant design. The phone is durable and it seems that it will last me a long time as I'm not one to switch up phones often. The Z3 is fast and has no issues running multiple apps or other online tasks. The one downside is the speaker volume is somewhat weak compared to other phones but this is a very minor issue. Overall for the price, it's a great device!
