Great stove!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this model mainly because our previous range was a GE that lasted over 20 years, and I didn't want to pay more than twice the price of this one to get what I really wanted. Do NOT buy this for the middle burner--it is too weak to even fry bacon. Using it for a grill would be out of the question. I do like the convection oven, but beyond that, there's really nothing outstanding about this model. I thought the burners would be stronger than my old range's, but I haven't noticed any difference. I haven't used the power burner to boil pasta yet--hopefully I'll be impressed with at least that.
Note to GE: The crinkly-sounding plastic cover over the electronic panel is beyond tacky and nearly impossible to keep clean. What were you thinking!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the fifth burner!

The main feature I was looking for when buying this stove was a large burner for boiling water quickly. The listed 17000 btu burner was the reason I purchased this, but after getting it home and converting it to propane we saw that it changes the output to 11000 btu. This drops the performance to that of a stove costing several hundred dollars less. This information should have been listed on the specs they use to sell the stove not just on a small piece of paper folded and screwed to the back of the stove where nobody could see it until after it was purchased taken home and removed from the packaging.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very nice looking and it works great. Fifth burner is really not needed. I wish they would give you a choice of four or five burners with the full grate.
